The Young and The Restless: Welcome Michael Muhney As Adam

If you were shocked, shame on you, that means you haven’t read all of my post! If you had you would have known that this was going to happen!
At any rate, the new Adam made his first appearance on The Young and The Restless today! Michael is no newcomer to television as he played Sheriff Lamb on the cult favorite Veronica Mars. His fans say that he does bad really good! He also appeared on Charmed, see clip below.
Just wanted to say Welcome aboard and we hope to see great things from you! After all you are Victor Newman’s son!

After watching that video, he doesn’t seem so bad on Charmed, but oh my goodness…it was painful watching him today. I really really tried to keep an open mind, but all I kept thinking was how the real Adam would have done or said everything. Hopefully it’ll get better. By the way, I read your blog every day, this is just the first I’ve commented

It’s always hard when they introduce a new person doing an old character. I wish both new and old Adam luck. From the comments I have received about the new Adam, he needs it. I think he will grow on us after a while.

not liking the new adam. just isnt the same. he cant make the same expressions that CE made. i hope he works out but i doubt it. not to many people are liking him.

Some of you guys act like CE is the next messiah. He is average at best. The only reason why some people don’t like the new one is because of the gay storyline (which he is not gay, only using Raffe for his on purposes). He also looks better then the old one. I’m happy about the story line. Y&R needs to spice things up a little.

No, I do not the new Adam.the guy playing the scene now, does not have the acting ablity that the old Adam had, If possible put the old Adam back on the program.

Your mom is not alone. this new guy has had mixed reviews from readers, more in favor of the old Adam. Yet, what can we do? He’s gone and we just have to adjust. He made a personal choice and we watch a show, so he owed it to himself to be true to his beliefs, in spite of fans disappointment.

The new Adam is not that bad. We are just not used to seeing him as Adam. As time goes on we will adjust and get used to it. Give the new guy a chance.

This is the way people always react when they change a character on a soap opera, but eventually everyone will get use to the new actor. I do miss Chris though!

I have to say I also do not like the new Adam. I loved to hate the old one – he was sooooooo good at being a bad boy. Plus, he was sexy. This new one is kinda boring…sorry.

I know it must be hard to fake blind but to the new Adam I find not believable. Maybe it’s because it’s someone new… so far, I find it impossible to have any interest or liking in his character.

NO, I DON’T LIKE HIM AT ALL!!!! Where’s the old Adam? They need to bring him back. And WHEN will Victor wise up to see what Adam has done??? This has dragged on TOO LONG. Victor is a pretty keen man so why has it taken SO LONG for him to think that Adam is behind all this stuff with Ashley? And I’m tired of Mary Jane also.

While I have nothing against Michael Muhney as he’s done some good work in the past he simply just doesn’t play Adam Wilson as well as Chris Engen. Y&R writers have really gone a little overboard anyways with what they’ve done with the character Adam Wilson. I personally drew the line when he wore the wig and dressed up like Sabrina the night of the storm when Ashley fell down the stairs. They need to hire Chris Engen back and reshape this character better.

That was a new low to have a pregnant woman to fall down the steps but seeing Chris in that dress and wig was priceless. I guess that was their farewell to him

This new Adam makes the goofiest facial expressions that I’ve ever seen. Can NOT get used to him………..I think Nikki’s sister Casey will be the one who dies.

i love the new adam. he brings the character into a new direction that i don’t think the old one could. you never new why adam went off on victor. i believe this new guy with bring depth to adam and we will finally know why he is doing this. i hope he can be redeemed.

I think he has a different kind of creepy, that is a little more seething and unpredictable. The other Adam had a brooding anger thing.
