However did anyone notice that she turned up the charm a little bit for Chance, aka Phillip IV? Billy noticed, I’m not sure yet how he felt about it. It came across a little bit like, yeah whatever there’s no way. Yet it also had a tinge of….not sure I would go as far as to say jealousy, yet. But clearly something he was not comfortable with.

Now I think that it would be similar to triple dipping if she went after Chance but I’m not sure she will have to do anything. Perhaps he will pursue her with genuine interest. After all, according to Billy, it’s not like he really cares for her. Or will it become a situation where Billy will become more interested in her because someone else likes her. One of the cases where you sit your toy on the shelf and as long as no oneelse goes to play with it, you never touch it. Soon as someone else shows the slightest interest Billy will yell, “mine” and try to snatch his toy back?

All I know is that whatever they decide to do with Chance and Chloe, I hope they wait just a few weeks or something. This family has enough drama in it at the current moment without involving the Uncle and Nephew feuding over Chloe. Let’s give Katherine a little time to recuperate before swinging into more family drama. Besides, I’m not ready to deal with Nina having a fit about Chloe, not yet.

Besides, I want to focus on the Newman’s for a while. It’s high time Ashley found out the truth. Adam gets caught and Mary Jane and Phyllis square off!

Well dear now it’s too late! They just arrested Daniel and they pulled the fake painting out of the wall. How is he going to get out of this one, Amber? What half cocked scheme are you going to come up with to try and get Daniel out of this sticky situation? Warning chica watch out before you get yourself killed. Deacon has played this game with you before and he is a notable adversary.

Now for the young guy that went to talk to Kevin at the coffee shop. Is that Little Eric? It is possible, he’s about High School age. He is always with Deacon and they seem to be very close. OMG what if it is Little Eric? What is he up too? Is Deacon that dirty and under handed that he would have his son participate in a plot to get Amber? Wait let me answer that, yes he is! How will Amber react if it is him? Will she recognize him if she were to bump into him? Is he the third person in the alley? Would Deacon allow his son to commit murder?

I think this storyline has the potential to get really hot!

What I do not care for in this storyline is Devon and Neil’s position about Cane. The reason I say this is because at some point they have to let Lily grow up and start making decisions for herself. I think Tyra did a good job of trying to express to Neil he needed to let her make her own choices. Yet he just looked at her like, you are no where near as precious as my Lily so back off. Then again Olivia tried to talk to Neil and he looked at her as if he knew what was best for her. I find it interesting that he is being so “Protective” of Lily that he has forgotten how love made him so forgiving when He found out that Lily was actually his brother’s daughter and not his. At the end of the day nothing could keep him and Dru apart because his love allowed him to look over a lot of her flaws and vice versa, yet now he can’t see that.  Perhaps Dru should come back and remind him!

The other part that bugs me about it is the fact that Lily is potentially on her death bed, while they are remaining optimistic it would seem to me that if she wanted to dance with fire at this point, allow her to do it. Why would they want to keep her from someone whom she could draw strength from in such a difficult time. Seems to me that Neil and Devon need to put their personal feelings aside for while and focus on what will help Lily feel strong and confident and loved.

They should walk with some caution, sometimes matters of the heart can not be understood by simple on lookers. Lily is scared and needs the security of Cane, they should just move out of the way and let her be. She’s going to reach out to him, they can’t stop it. So they might as well get on baord.

However this is not Lily’s only family, will Nate come back and check on his cousin? I would love to see who they have cast for his role and how old he would be. What about Malcolm? Any one see a cameo appearances from Shemar? I know ther are a lot of us who would not mind seeing him on the set again?

However, now she and Adam have joined forces. She thinks it is so she can get closer to Jack and Adam is using her to get to both Victor and Jack. Now we know that wedding is coming up, hopefully they will show it tomorrow. Adam is already busy getting Mary Jane ready to crash the wedding as none other than Sabrina. These of course are the obvious things that they have shown us.

The not so obvious has been whose death is going to rock the Newman family. For a while I thought it was going to be Casey, Nikki’s sister. This fell in line with the fact that Nikki renewed her contract but was scheduled for a vacation. However, she and Paul took care of that leave of absence by going out of the country to hunt down facts about Mary Jane’s past. Now given the way today’s episode went and the fact that Mary Jane really believes that Kitty is alive, the death has to be that of the beloved Newman four legged friend Zapato. I say this because of the way Mary Jane assured Kitty that everything would be ok and the dog would never terrorize her again. I mean come on, she has already been betrayed by Victor and Jack doesn’t want her, Kitty is all she has.

Now in my opinion the writers over there at CBS are treading on thin ice. While I don’t personally mind because I have no problem separating what’s real and what’s not. I think there will be some viewers who are going to raise a stink about the pretend death of a dog that probably lives better than most of us. They are completely entitled too, there is something that all of us do not like to see on TV real or fake. I just know that some of us are going to be like, it was one thing when Adam made Ashley fall down the steps, another when MJ poisoned Summer, and let’s not even mention the Rafe and Phillip story line, but Old Yeller, now they have just gone too darn far. Even though I am positive that the dog will remain unharmed.

I guess Mary Jane can’t keep her word to anyone. She told Victor she could handle Jack and messed that up. Now she is breaking her promise to Kitty and the bird by going after the dog. Jeez the taxidermist must love to see her coming.

What I find most interesting is the way The Young and The Restless has taken Thom Bierdz real life experience and are turning it into one of the hottest storylines currently in GC.

It is said that part of the reason Bierdz left Y&R in the beginning was because he was gay and felt he had to keep it a secret.
Phillip III’s storyline never indicated that he was gay.

Beirdz keeping his secrets made him sad and depressed.
Phillip III tried to kill himself in order to escape the pain he felt in dealing with his sexuality.

After Beirdz left Y&R one of the jobs he had was as a bartender.
Phillip III owned a bar in Australia.

One of the few people that Beirdz came out to in his real life was good friend Tricia Cast.
Phillip III returns and the first person he tells is Nina, played by none other than Tricia Cast.

As Beirdz became more uncomfortable in his own skin, he began to have plastic surgery done, including inserts in his face to have a more chiseled manly look.
Who does he send to GC to assume his identity? Manly Cane, with tight physique and strong jaw line.

While I understand that art always imitates life, I find it very interesting the way that The Young and The Restless has chosen to use Thom Bierdz real life experience to bring back Phillip III thought to have been dead for 20 years.

Well now that he is back, what will they do with his character? Thom is very comfortable now with his sexuality and in his skin and has been vocal about the direction in which he would like to see this character go. Will this mean that Phillip III will be as well? We know that Rafe is one eligible suitor, will he and Phillip III find a love connection? Well, I guess we will just have to wait and see.

I also did not see them writing a coma into Young Summer Newman’s storyline. What will happen next. I know that it is being said that Mary Jane will manage to get Phyllis arrested this week. Of course by using her nosey, gullible and foolish niece (banking on MJ being Patti) Heather Stevens who would go after her own mother if she thought it would mean winning a case.

Well the good thing is we are supposed to get another clue as to who she is this week. Hopefully Victor will realize how his disdain for Jack is now potentially costing him his granddaughter and her mother. Just goes to show you, when you life’s mission is to ruin another’s, things have a way of coming back at you. Makes you ask the question, does a man who would go so far for revenge as to put his own granddaughter in harms way deserve to have another child? Or is karma just teaching him a lesson?

Some think it is Jana’s father, but I feel like it is someone younger? Just can’t figure out who would want to go after them and why? Whoever he is, he seems to have quite a bit of money. Judging by the lack of clues left behind, the extravagant office and his assistant who seems to be keeping tabs on the whole situation he appears to have unlimited resources.

If we go by the things that this crew has done, the list could be either really short or really long. All I do know, is that I don’t know who it is YET! You know The Y and R Lady is good at figuring out what is going on in GC and this will be no different. I will also tell you that my spidey sense is telling me this is not going to be another “get out of it by the skin of your teeth” for the whole crew. I feel tears and great sadness coming.

I knew it! I knew the casket was going to be empty! I was so excited I actually screamed with Nina! I am so glad they showed us the shot of the coffin today and didn’t make us wait until Monday!

What are they going to do about Cane? Did you see him looking at his Passport? Oh this storyline just keeps getting better and better.

So here’s what I think is going to happen next. I think that Phillip III is coming back soon. If he ever answers his phone. I don’t believe he would skip town on Cane, Do you? Keep in mind, Phillip III loved his son, so I can’t see him leaving him in urgent need of his care. For some reason I feel like he is going to just appear out of the woodwork instead of the wooden box.

How devious does Phillip III have to be to concoct a plan that would mean lying to his entire family? Leaving his son? Some say that they are going to integrate the fact the real actor, Thom Beirdz, is gay into the storyline. That he faked his death to get away from the pressure. When Beirdz was questioned about this in an interview he wouldn’t spill the beans.

Anyone noticed the raised eyebrows of Katherine Chancellor when she said to Jill she didn’t think they knew everything (that’s called foreshadowing). She knows that Violet Montgomery was in the hospital when the switch was supposed to have happened. So now she has to be thinking “who took the baby” and “how did the switch occur?” I once heard a rumor that Jill had twins, but it seems to me that Cane is not related to these women at all. As a matter of fact, I bet we see a DNA sample arrive to Cane in the near future. Could a posthumous Phillip II have had something to do with the switching or not switching?

If Phillip left to get away. Cane was never interested in the money. Why did he send Cane back to “Gas Light” everyone? Where will this all end and how did this scam begin?

I mean really, I know the guy who did the first round of testing lied, but no one ever noticed that the body wasn’t there? Did Cane steal the remains of whoever was in the coffin? Paul was there and able to see the empty coffin with Nina. I am sure that he is going to be Johnny on the spot figuring out the details of the remains. There is blood in the water and Paul is like a shark ready to feed. Perhaps he will go on a trip to The Down Under to visit Uncle Langley?

All I can say is hold on tight, this is going to be a bumpy ride. With Nina fearful for her son’s life, an empty casket and Cane thinking of leaving the country. This is sure to have us glued to our seats. Don’t forget, we still have Chancellor’s yet to return home.

So now what do we do until Monday? Oh I know! We chat about it here to try to figure out what in the heck is going to happen next week.

So Mary Jane is not quite as crazy as we thought she was. After all she knew better than to cross Victor Newman, took heed to his word and dropped the Restraining Order against Paul. Or is she?

Later that day while sitting in her room she runs through two different scenarios in her mind, hmm maybe out loud so Kitty could hear.

One scenario, Paul (her brother, come on you know it) is very happy to see her. He gives her a loving embrace and she talks about how he must keep her secret. He agrees to oblige her. They are happy, but he still doesn’t let it slip who she really is.

The second is an angry Paul who threatens to expose her secret if she doesn’t. There is something in Mary Jane’s eyes that looks very threatening.

What will happen when Paul finds out her true identity? Will he tell her that she needs to come clean or will he be the strong silent brother that she is longing for? If Mary Jane is threatened, even by Paul will we later see her talking to a stuffed Paul in her room at the GCAC?

She is clear that she definitely has feelings for Jack. That she feels their future is together. What is Mary Jane going to do to ensure that neither Paul, Phyllis or Sharon get in her way.

Great jobs to both Mary Jane and Paul for this scene! Mary Jane, I was actually kidding earlier you are crazier than a kid in a candy store! Just don’t come after me, please.
